Greetings Guys,
After typing Please take a moment to check your stocks. Only a few weeks left until the person who has made the most money or lost the least will take home a crisp $100 bill.
After about five to ten minutes of stock browsing. I want you to retake the review test. (Printed out in the Junior High Workroom Printer). It is the same exact review I gave you before you left for DC. But this time I want you to answer as many as you can without the help of Google or anyone. I want you to treat this as a test. Once you are done with that, I want you to make sure you review as a class the correct answers. Review with a partner only the items they struggled with. (only about 10 minutes)
Next, I want you to go to http://www.computerhope.com/basic.htm
I want you to pick seven items you want to learn about, read and email me a short list of which issues you read and a two sentence summary about each of the seven items you learned about. Please use your own words, don’t just copy and paste.
Thank You and I will see you Tomorrow,
Mr. G

How do Search Engines Work? Best of The Best?
Aloha from your Tech teacher,
Today’s Question's are:
(please answer each question completely)
1. How do Search Engines Work? (Define at least four different types.)
2. How do you decide which search engine to use and Why? ( Give References to and best for different searches.)
3. How do you decide which search link or info to use?
(Example, best Computer Results 1 - 10 of about 57,700,000 ) Most people click only on things on the first page or two. But is that always the best info? Why or why not?
4. How do you find out if information you search is credible and true?
5. When is the last time you used a public Library and why?
Please respond to these questions in Google documents and share them with jorgeg@tvja.org. Please label the Document Search Engines- your name
Thanks,

Greetings 9th Computer Class of 2007-08
I must say it has been a great start for this school year. This blogspot will be a place where I will place information from assignments given and where you can check what the requirements are for each assignment.
The most current assignment is: Setting up a Business.
We will be first going through the steps it will take to start with the idea and move it to creation.
1. Decide your business type. (Restaurant, Photography, Supply Store, Deli, etc.)
2. Decide on your Name (Chelsea's Medical Miracles Family Clinic)
3. Decide on a General Location (Hillsboro, Portland, Etc... Oregon is Prefered)
4. Decide on a slogan for your Business. (Mike's Deli, where eating is Heavenly)
5. Later we will also be writing your Mission Statement for your company.
6. Once you have decided on the items above, you can begin the process of creating your Corporate Identity on Paper.
a. Brocure/Menu: Services you provide, who your clients are, maybe some
testimonals, You are really trying to sell your products. Take your time and be creative.
b. Next you will make your business cards.
c. Finally we will be making a website for your business. This will involve use of templates and HTML. More on that when we get to that.
Have Fun and If you have any questions just ask.
